How can parents volunteer?

There are many ways to help support our musical. Please click here to find out how.

Why do we require parents to volunteer?

Unlike other school sports, the HHS Musical does not have an official booster club. We rely on parents to help us raise money, contribute snacks, and organize things that otherwise would not get done because we are busy directing. We NEED all parents of cast crew and orchestra to help us by donating goods, and/or time.

What is the policy on missing rehearsals?

We understand the many activities students are involved in, but we do stress that this is a big commitment that needs to be taken seriously. If a student misses three rehearsals, they may be removed from the show. Please let the appropriate director know if there are special circumstances.

What do I need to do about a costume?

In many cases, we will provide costumes. Sometimes, particularly with smaller parts, we ask that parents help to put together costume pieces. Damn Yankees is set in the late 1950's, so thrift stores will have many appropriate pieces of clothing. In addition, we need parent volunteers to help cut and sew costumes! Please contact Lesa Demharter if you wish to help. You do NOT have to be talented seamstress! Just willing to cut and pin!

How do I know when I need to be at practice?

Please check the calendar on the main page frequently. We will make every effort to identify groups we will be working with at each rehearsal.
